Neff Rental Delivers Trench and Excavation

Competent Person Training

Highly detailed and thorough one-day competent person training classes are offered by Neff to both existing and prospective customers.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration requires companies performing excavation work to have a trained Competent Person on site. The use of shoring is one of several approved protective systems. The Competent Person is trained on the use of approved protective systems and requirements of the OSHA standard to ensure employee safety.

Upon completion of the one-day class, participants take a competent person test. The test results are shared with the participants and their employers. Participants also receive a card indicating completion of the course and a copy of the OSHA Trench and Excavation Standard, Subpart P.
